Cooking Tip & Features

The following are some tips,suggestions and information to enhance your cooking experience with Fresh-Sides potatoes.

  • No peeling required

  • Ready to cook as is

  • No washing required

  • For best cooking & flavor results, remove from the bag and cut to desired shape (sliced, halved,diced, quartered, wedge, etc.). This method may reduce cooking time based on microwave and cut size (smaller the cut = quicker cooking time).

  • We recommend no more than 1 to 2 Tbsp. of oil or butter to start.

  • To enhance your Fresh-Sides, gently open bag and add your favorite seasoning & ingredients. When you are done gently re-seal bag securely.

  • Keep liquids away from the seal. For best results, dry seal with paper towel

  • Fresh-Sides can cook either side up. Always lay flat on microwaveable plate.

  • If you add quick cook* ingredients or leftovers to create your favorite dish, cut product(s) into strips,cubes,slices for even cooking &optimum flavor.

  • Fresh-Sides unique bag uses less oil and seasonings due to our natural steam process. This process expands flavor, while retaining nutritional value, creating a fresh, healthy side every time.

  • Always place Fresh-Sides on microwavable plate for easier handling & best cooking results.

  • Fresh-Sides does not whistle, or make noise like othe products. We use Mother Nature's moisture within the product and our unique bag to create a natural steam process.

  • As a reminder, contents will be hot during and after microwaving, wait 1 minute after cooking to open the bag.

 

Cooking Instructions

Basic Cooking Instructions

  1. Open the re-sealable bag, add your choice of Simple Seasonings* or cook as is. Re-seal bag securely and place flat on a microwavable plate.

  2. Microwave 8 minutes** on high (1100w) or on "potato" setting. the bag will Inflate***

  3. Using pot holders, carefully remove plate from microwave. Let rest for 1 minute. Use the cool touch panels at the top and bottom of the bag for safe handling. Carefully open the seal with a fork and serve.

*Simple Seasonings - (7-8 minutes)
We suggest 1-2 Tbsp. of olive or vegetable oil or butter, garlic, shallots, fresh or dried herbs such as rosemary, salt, black pepper, etc. For more recommended seasonings and ideas click here


Enhanced Cooking Instructions

  1. Follow Basic Cooking Instructions Step 1. Microwave 4 minutes** on high (1100w).

  2. Using pot holders, carefully remove plate from microwave. Let rest for 1 minute. Use the cool touch panels at the top and bottom of the bag for safe handling. Carefully open the seal with a fork.

  3. Add your choice of Quick Cook Ingredients*

  4. Re-seal bag securely and place flat on a microwavable plate. Cook an additional 3-4 minutes** on high (1100w). Repeat Step 2 and serve.

*Quick Cook Ingredients - (4 Minutes)
